Welcome!
Thank you for visiting Crosspoint Strategic Network.  Please take time to read this page so that you can more completely understand our ministry.....

Crosspoint Strategic Network is a joint venture of the three Christian Reformed Classes, primarily in Illinois and Indiana, and Christian Reformed Home Missions. Peter Kelder gives vision and direction to a team of leaders who desire to mobilize ministries in accomplishing God's mission. They consult with local ministries and leaders about evangelism, community development, leadership development, small groups, and church planting. Collaboratively, this team chose the name Crosspoint Strategic Network as an apt description of what we hope to accomplish in the region.

Why Crosspoint?
Chicago is at the crossing point of major roads in the heart of the Midwest. Crosspoint is a fitting name when thinking of our geographical location. Yet our geography extends beyond Chicago and our name reflects that. Furthermore the cross is the point! It was on the cross that Jesus paid in full the penalty and price of the sin of mankind. We are called to point people to the cross of Christ.

A crosspoint is a junction where converging lines intersect. When walking along a path, there are points when another path crosses the one you are following. At that point, a decision needs to be made as to which path to follow. You would have reached a crosspoint or point of crossing. The ultimate goal of Crosspoint Strategic Network is that more people are brought to that point of decision in following Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord!

Why Strategic?
While the local church is the primary agent that God uses to bring people to points of crossing, our team partners with Christian Reformed Home Missions in it's goal of Following Christ. In Mission Together. Together we partner with local churches to develop strategies that start new churches, equip mission-focused congregations, raise up leaders, and impact campus life---all part of God's kingdom building strategy.

Why Network?
The old adage, "many hands make light work" is true! Finding ways to network enables ministries and leaders to do more together than they could hope to accomplish by themselves. Synergy happens when we are brought together around common goals.
